Mirror

Don’t we all wonder if our lives really matter? Bookshop shelves are full of stories about leaders, athletes, heroes who changed the world. It’s easy to look in the mirror and question if anything we’ve done really counts. Some days, maybe you like the face you see; other days, not so much. The people who first came to Jesus didn’t feel significant either. They doubted, struggled with confidence, and probably wondered if their lives made any impact at all.

The woman who suffered for years in silence with a terrible illness. The cheating swindler, so small and unimpressive, he had to climb a tree just to get a glimpse of Jesus. The religious leader who snuck out at night, afraid of what everyone else would think. They weren’t famous. They weren’t strong. But when they took a step toward Jesus, everything changed. Their story was heard. They found a new sense of worth and belonging - not because of what they brought, but because of who they met.

You’ll find yourself somewhere in their company if you look - uncertain, doubting your own significance, but curious. Their courage isn’t in who they were, it was in who they turned to. Real meaning isn’t about achievement or applause. It’s about Jesus - who notices, welcomes, and gives lasting significance to ordinary people and their quiet stories.

If you’re longing for that, take a step forward in faith. Jesus sees you, calls you and gives your life eternal weight and purpose. And in him you have a place in the story that truly matters.
